It is often the case where funding may not be required, as pro-active communication and negotiation via a third party can produce a result similar to re-financing on more attractive terms

It is important to remember that you have a relationship and history with whomever you owe money to, whether its a bank, a loan company or suppliers. Irrespective of what the present issues are with them it is easier and more prudent to re-negotiate with them than to find alternative creditors & lenders, this then safeguards and corrects your trading history with all whom you presently deal with.

It may be the case in the future where you require funding on something totally unconnected with your present business or require funding that your present lenders and suppliers are not applicable for, if this is refused for whatever reasons, such a decision can be overturned on appeal by utilising the references of your present bank and suppliers. Such references will carry immense weight to any other future lenders as this is a ‘true life’ indication of regular and correct payments on your behalf, so the longer the period they can comment upon in ‘knowing and dealing with you’ the better it is for any future funding application.

It is therefore reasonable to state that dealing with present lenders and creditors irrespective of the situation you are in is tactically better for yourself long term with regards to your credit rating, potential references available and future lending prospects.
